MD of Opportunity
The Municipal District of Opportunity is currently seeking a casual Recreation Attendant at our Lakeview Sports Centre. The individual chosen for this position must be self-motivated and an enthusiastic Sports & Fitness orientated, people person to perform the following duties:
- Supervise and provide guidance to patrons.
- Able to create, run, and promote recreation programs as directed.
- Daily custodial duties.
- Promote “sports & fitness” in the community.
- Interact with staff and patrons.
- Distribution, collection, and maintenance of equipment.
- Willing to initiate sporting and amp fitness programs/events.
- Set up and tear down for all recreation events.
- Submit all required paperwork/documentation at the end of each shift.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours evenings & some weekends.
- A satisfactory Current Criminal Record Check upon hire.
The ideal candidates must possess the following qualifications & experience in the following:
- Standard First Aid Certification is an asset.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Must be physically active and able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.
- Knowledge of various sports and sports equipment would be an asset.
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP-Certification would be an asset).
