If so, the MD of Opportunity is currently recruiting three (3) members at large, with one (1) being an alternate, to
serve on the Subdivision & Development Appeal Board.

Board Structure

The Board shall consist of two Councillors and at least three and not more than five Members at Large who are
appointed by resolution of Council.

A member of large shall not be a Councillor, an employee of the Municipality, a person who carries out subdivision
or development powers, duties and functions on behalf of the Municipality, or a member of a municipal planning
commission.

Each Member at Large may be appointed to a term of up to three years, with the exact term being specified upon
their appointment to the Board by Council.

Board Duties

The board hears appeals, regarding decisions of the Development Officer or the Municipal Planning Commission
regarding zoning and development decisions.

This board meets on “as need” basis.
