The MD of Opportunity is currently recruiting one community volunteer to serve as member at large on the Greater North Foundation Board. The appointment is for a one-year-term.

Board Duties

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 8 appointed members from Contributing Municipalities. The MD of Opportunity participates in the Foundation because Calling Lake is within the municipality and some MD residents use the Foundation’s lodges and homes.

Member Duties

The member is expected to attend Board meetings and report to the MD of Opportunity Council as needed. Regular Board meetings are held every second month, with special meetings scheduled throughout the year as required. Meetings typically rotate among Athabasca, Boyle and Lac La Biche. Members will be notified of any location changes.
