Labourer – Wabasca – Permanent Full Time

The MD of Opportunity is now accepting resumes to fill a permanent full-time laborer position. The laborer position will focus on duties related to the Facility Maintenance Department in Wabasca under the general direction of the FM Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for various miscellaneous duties such as; snow removal in winter, grass cutting in summer, maintenance and other duties that are assigned by the Supervisor.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Valid safety tickets would be an asset including power saw safety.
• Experience in maintenance and repairs, a journeyman carpenter is preferred.
• Must be active and able to do physical activities (ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs).
• The ability to exercise independent judgment & initiative in completing assigned duties.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and bondable.
• Must be able to work at heights and have no problem getting into crawl spaces, etc.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to communicate well with others.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check upon hire.
