Early Childhood Educator

The Municipal District of Opportunity No.17 is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position at the Opportunity Daycare in Wabasca, AB. The ideal candidate should be outgoing and energetic with demonstrated skills in their area of work, who are self-starters and team oriented. The successful individual will help create and deliver a high-quality early learning childcare service that meets MD policy as well as provincial Childcare Licensing.

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Provide child care services by actively engaging in the supervision, care and development of children;
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment;
• Ensure the well-being of each and every child in the childcare program;
• Promote early learning programming and age appropriate developmental activities.

Qualifications required:

• Child Development Certification Level 1, 2 and or 3;
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and reliable transportation;
• Child First Aid and/or Standard First Aid certificate;
• A current satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Youth Intervention Check must be provided upon to hire.
