Residential Garbage Pickup
Garbage shall mean all normal waste which results from the operation of a household and shall, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, include paper, packing materials, waste from the preparation of food, rags, lawn and hedge clippings, branches, leaves, as well as ashes resulting from the burning of waste material.
It shall not include rubble, and other waste from construction or demolition, dead animals, human or animal excreta, automobiles or other machinery, waste from industrial or large commercial premises or hazardous, explosive or toxic materials.
All garbage to be picked up must be properly bagged (bags must be tied) and each container (bags) shall not be heavier than 60 lbs.
Hazardous wastes are not accepted at any MD Landfills or Transfer sites.
Garbage bins shall be located at the nearest location of the driveway and property line of each residence.
Self-Serve Recycling Bins are available at all sites and are open to residents.
Once the recycle bins are full, they are then transported to appropriate recycling plants.
