ECC Procedures - Red Earth Creek

  • There will be signage posted along the entrance points of the Red Earth Creek community. These signs will state that anyone returning from locations with confirmed COVID-19 cases will be recommended to self-isolate for 14 days. We understand access to other communities is needed for prescriptions, and other essential products that may not be available locally.  
  • If it becomes an issue in which community members are ignoring regulations put in place, a road monitoring system can be implemented. The MD is following the COVID-19 Pandemic closely and will make adjustments accordingly.
  • Family members returning to communities from abroad or high-risk areas* will be allowed in but must self-quarantine for 14 Days. Failure to do so may result in a $2000 Fine.
  • Transient population for work: Those workers are permitted access to the community, but it is expected that they follow the same restrictions as the residents of Red Earth Creek.
  • Curfew for the public between 10pm – 6am. Subject to $500 Fine.
    • Does not apply to local residents going directly to and from work.
    • Essential Services are exempt from curfew.
  • Effective Immediately there will be no in restaurant dining permitted. Take out services are permitted.
  • Minors are no longer permitted to enter any public buildings within the community. This does not apply to young adults that are employed by local businesses. Only 1 person per vehicle will be allowed to enter these stores at any given time.
  • We are asking that all residents adhere to the Public Health Orders from Alberta Health Services (Which can be found on the AHS website). If you are feeling sick you are required to self-isolate for 14 days, or contact 811 for advice. There is also an online self-assessment tool that can be accessed on the Alberta Health Services website. In the event of an emergency contact 911.
