Water Service

Water Delivery
Water delivery is provided to residents of the M.D. of Opportunity that do not have access to treated water through buried lines and are within a range where the MD can provide the water delivery at a reasonable rate. Truck-fill stations are available in all the MD communities. Tank trucks service all the communities with service provided on a weekly basis.

Water Treatment
The MD of Opportunity operates and maintains the water treatment plants and the water distribution systems located in each community.

Areas Serviced/Un-Serviced
Wabasca, Desmarais, Calling Lake, Sandy Lake, Chipewyan Lake and Red Earth Creek: water and sewer service are provided.

Peerless Lake, Trout Lake, Chipewyan Lake, Sandy Lake, and Calling Lake: water and sewer service are provided in the schools and to residents near the schools.

Sandy Lake has no water or sewer service provided by way of main lines.  These services are provided by tank trucks.
