Welcome to the Land of Opportunity!  I sincerely hope that you will enjoy visiting our website and find the information useful.  I am happy to state that since the incorporation of our municipality in August 1995, we have grown tremendously in terms of services to the residents, development of infrastructure, construction of new facilities, as well as increased employment opportunities for the residents.  It is very encouraging to know that our Council supports and shares my view that all communities should be served and treated fairly; Council finds this philosophy both challenging and rewarding.

M.D of Opportunity is moving towards exciting new ventures involving Economic Development and Tourism.  Council and administration recognize the need for increased services in our communities rather than travelling to a neighboring town.  We support commercial growth through the development of our new downtown on Opportunity Drive in Wabasca.
