Economic Development Committee

The Economic Development Committee was established to advise Council and to work with the Economic Development Officer (in an advisory capacity) on all matters relating to long-term and sustainable economic development, growth and prosperity within the Municipal District of Opportunity.

In carrying out its mandate, the Economic Development Committee will continue to support the achievement of the economic, environmental and social/cultural goals and objectives set out in the M.D.’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, recently adopted by Council.

The Committee meets on a monthly basis.  It is available to receive presentations from interested parties and delegations, as well as attend workshops, conferences and other business, investor or industry-specific events which focus on, or are related to, identified M.D. economic development priorities.
